Scope of works

  • The Gladstone Ports Corporation requires the installation of a new water main along Alf O’Rourke Drive to provide future services to the proposed commercial development area on the western side of Alf O’Rourke Drive from the cooling water channel to Bryan Jordan Drive. Furthermore, this new water main will create a looped water feed to the marina and RGT Coal Terminal improving the water supply to these areas:
  • Installation of 5.0 km of DN355 PE100 Sewer main.
  • Installation of 200m of DN300 DICL Water Main.
  • Installation of 100m of DN324 MSCL (Band Welded) Water Main.
  • Construction of pre-cast Concrete access chambers.
  • Time Lapse footage of the installation of the 300mm MSCL Water Main in Gladstone, QLD.
  • Our Innovative Construction Methodology involved the use of a series of rollers & a flying fox system to allow the pipe to be both welded & launched from the Southern Bank of the Cooling Water Channel, this allowed the traffic to flow uninterrupted during the construction phase to the RG Tanna Coal Terminal.
  • See the Time Lapse Video below.
